February 2025 Update

February’s weather was cold with lows recorded at -10, highs were 70 degrees. On the coldest days the staff helped prepare documents for the Annual Shareholders Meeting. Mowing is continuing on the lower ditch in preparation for canal cleaning to follow. This is necessary prior to filling the canal with irrigation water for distribution. Target date at this time for irrigation is April 15th, should this change notification will be sent out through our Face book page. It is highly recommended that pipes and fields should be ready to receive water by April 1st.

The Annual Shareholders meeting was held on February 22, 2025. We had a quorum with 63% of the shareholders either representing their shares through proxy or in person. This is down by 2% from last year. It is very important that all shares must represented either in person or proxy or face an additional assessment charge of $5.00 per share if a quorum is not met.

The meeting provided the shareholders with approving last years minutes and approving the budget for 2025. We did have two seats open on the ballots with several candidates to choose from. Charlie Newlon ran for re-election and retained his seat and the second seat that was open as Tim Hall had choose not to run had three candidates running for the seat. Elected by vote, Steve Smith is our newest Board of Directors. Congratulations to Steve and Charlie!

Reminder!! Assessments are due by April 1st as always. You may opt to pay ½ of the assessments by April 1st and the second by 8/1/25. If you choose to pay in two parts an additional admin fee of $10 will be added.  All shareholders who are not in good standing will not be eligible to receive irrigation water. The ditch riders will not contact you for payment, this is your responsibility to make sure payment is made. You will not be on the schedule to receive water until payment is made.
