NOTICE TO ALL SHAREHOLERS

ATTENTION TO ALL SHAREHOLDERS - ESPECIALLY THOSE ON THE WEST SIDE OF PENROSE–
Yesterday afternoon Skaguay Reservoir shut the gate down delivering water into Beaver Creek. The creek is currently running at 4.20 c.f.s. and dropping. Due to this significant drop in the creek, it has become necessary to release water for delivery to Penrose Water District directly from Brush Hollow. The canal will be running water down the lower ditch all along the West side and down to G Street where Penrose Water District will pump the water into their ponds for processing. This water is dedicated solely for supplying Penrose Water District’s ponds for domestic use. This water is NOT to be used for irrigation purposes; no pumping is permitted. The release of water will begin 7/6/20.

This dramatic drop in the creek will delay the ability to deliver irrigation water to those shareholders who have yet to receive it. The ditch riders will be sharing what water is available in the upper canal and scheduling deliveries when possible. The drought conditions in Colorado has added one more problem we are needing to manage this year.  The year 2020 has certainly given us many challenges to overcome. We are anxious for a better tomorrow. With the help of Mother Nature providing us with rain, would be a good start.
