Irrigation Water information update and Office Access information

Believe it or not, our area is still classified in a Moderate Drought. This is amazing after receiving 2.30 inches of precipitation in the past 12 days and the forecast is calling for afternoon and evening showers for the weekend.
The rain received here in Penrose did not affect our creek levels as we are still only receiving 7.5-8.5 c.f.s.  At the last reading at Brush Hollow it was down to 74.60. The monitor has not been reporting for the past couple of days. We are working with our UAWAE contact to rectify this situation.
Irrigations are being distributed as quickly as possible in hopes of completing our 1st irrigations. We can continue to expect creek levels to drop as the temperatures rise and the Reservoir will only provide another 4-6 feet of irrigation water.
Forecast for next week the chance rain diminishes significantly. So, keep the faith and pray for rain (not too hard like last time that brought us hail) …
Update on keeping the office access closed. The sign says closed but we are here! Due to the State and County’s requirements to maintain social distancing at six feet. Our office configuration does not accommodate that requirement as our front door is only 2 feet from the reception desk. All paper transactions have been successfully accomplished with the use of the mail slot in the door. All other matters, have been managed either on the phone or by individual appointment. We are making every effort to accommodate our Shareholders needs.  Our Board of Directors Business Meeting for the month of June will continue to be limited to Board members, superintendent, office administrator and BPWI Engineer. However, if you should have business you would like to bring before the Board at the Meeting, the following steps must be adhered to: 1. You must call the office at 372-3664 prior to the Meeting of the 9th and receive a scheduled  time to present your matter. 2. After receiving a scheduled time to arrive, you should remain in your vehicle until someone comes to bring you into the building, only one shareholder will be permitted in the office at a time. 3. You must wear a protective mask while in the office area and be seated where directed. 4. After you have finished your business, you will not be permitted to stay. The Board will only meet with those individuals who have a scheduled appointment. This is not how we are accustomed to doing business and are looking forward to conducting a normal business meeting. Thank you for your understanding as we value our Shareholders and Staff’s health and safety.
