The weather of course was a wonderful mixture of snow, sun,
rain and dry windy days which Colorado is famous for. With the upper ditch
relining work completed the staff began work on cleaning the ditches and
mowing. We were able to secure additional assistance to clean and mow in
efforts to complete this task in a shorter time. In addition to the cleaning
prior to irrigation starting, there are a couple of delivery boxes that will
need repair throughout the system. The line on C St. has been replaced that
serves line 6B; this will provide a much better water delivery. Everything is
coming together for the 2018 irrigation season. Estimated time for starting
irrigation is April 16th. Brush Hollow is currently at 90 ft. which is
very close to full and that will provide the first irrigations. Pikes Peak
received very little snow this winter and snow melt will be practically non-existent.
The one thing we do need is for Mother Nature to provide us with some
significant moisture in the form of rain or snow or both.
All assessments were due April 1st. Those wishing
to pay their assessments in two parts may pay the first half in April and the
second half will be due August 1st. There will be a $10
administration fee for this option. Please note, that all accounts not in good
standing, will not be eligible to receive water. Your ditch rider will not
contact you or put you on the schedule. It is your responsibility to keep your
account in good standing.
Please also be aware if you have changed your contact
numbers, we are unable to schedule you for water. Please call the office at 372-3664 to have your profile
updated. Additionally, we have received returned invoices with undeliverable
addresses. Please update your mailing addresses also!
