The winter weather finally fell upon us. Temperatures dipped
below freezing almost every night and a few nights below zero. We were
fortunate to receive measureable snow fall of 3-4 inches on two separate
occasions.
Tom and the ditch riders have kept busy with repairs and
managing water as the upper canal was shut off for lining repairs and the
installation of a weir to the reservoir to measure water. This process is part
of the agreement Penrose Water District had with BPWI when they purchased space
in Brush Hollow. We need to be able to account for water that is supplied by
Beaver Creek vs water PWD pumps from the Arkansas River. Completion should be
this week. Installation of telemetry will be the final phase.
The 2017 Annual Shareholder meeting notices have been mailed
out. The bottom portion of the notice is the proxy document to fill out if you
do NOT plan on attending the meeting on 2/25/17. It is highly critical that we
have a quorum to conduct business at the shareholders meeting. Your attendance
or proxy is a MUST. Those shareholders not represented either by proxy or in
person and we fail to have a quorum, will be charged $10 per share in addition
to their assessments. I have received two notices back for address
issues. It is very important that we have your proper mailing address and
contact information. You can contact the office any time by calling 372-3664.
If you do not speak directly to a person, please leave a message and it will be
followed up with a return call. We DO
have a slot in the office door for written materials to be placed regardless of
day or time.
As a reminder, the invoices for the 2017 assessments will be
mailed after the annual shareholders meeting of 2/25/17. Assessments are due
April 1, 2017. Beaver Park Water, Inc. does provide an option of paying the
assessments in two parts. Half of the assessments by 4/1/17 and the balance by
8/1/17. There will be a $10 administrative fee charged to your account should
you chose this option. If assessments are not paid by the due dates, you will
not be eligible to receive irrigation water until your account is in good
standing. You will NOT be reminded by the ditch rider; notices will not go out
again until the beginning of the next month. Please talk to the office
administrator for information regarding paying partial payments in advance for
the following year; this will lessen the burden of trying to come up with the
entire assessment at one time.

Penrose Elementary School on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm
