October Update

This has been another month without measurable precipitation according to the AG Met Sensor located in Penrose. Temperatures have been up in the highs of 86 and lows down to 28 at night. Warm temperatures and no rain or snow with many breezy or windy days has dried out the soil. Please pray we receive moisture soon.

The Shareholders are receiving their fourth irrigations and will soon complete delivery to all that are wishing to take the water. Irrigation Season will officially end November 15th.  Brush Hollow Lake is currently at 72 ft. and we will begin to slow down the water in the lower ditch. Unless our status changes we currently are not in priority status, which does not allow us to store water. We must use the water received into our system.

Several of the Board of Directors and Tom conducted a tour of the BPW system with two of the Fremont County Commissioners; Tim Payne and soon to be elected Dwayne McFall. The purpose of the tour was to show them the systems need for development and repairs that we will be requesting Grant monies from the State in early next year. Their support on our endeavors will hopefully enhance our ability to be considered.
