July 2013

July has been a very interesting month. The weather has been very cooperative and provided us with rain on eight separate occasions for a total of 1.58 inches according to the COAG Met monitor near L and 13th Streets. In addition, the creek flow has been enhanced from the rain received over Pikes Peak and the mountain areas south of the Peak. This has allowed us to continue to provide irrigation water to the shareholders of Beaver Park Water. Currently the creek is supporting 7 heads of water throughout the system. We continue to monitor the levels daily and re-evaluate our ability to provide irrigation water. As long as the water is available, we will continue. As changes occur we will react appropriately and may be forced to discontinue water at any time. But until then, we will rejoice in the ability to provide irrigation water.

For those shareholders that want to follow the water as it moves from line to line, a map is located on the outside board of the Beaver Park Water Office with pink arrows indicating where the water is. This map is updated as the water moves around the system.

As mandated by the State, the Satellite system installations are a little behind schedule but we have all the materials purchased and ready for installation. We are hopeful for an August completion date.

Tom Sanders has been mowing in the areas that have become overgrown with weeds and tree seedlings over the past 12 months. Lack of moisture doesn’t seem to keep them from growing.

August 1st is the due date for the balance of assessments to be paid. Any accounts with open balances will be subject to 18% interest charge. Those who have past due assessments that extend beyond two years will be subject to having those shares auctioned at the next shareholders annual meeting in February of 2014. As a reminder, the assessments pay the operating costs of the irrigation system and the loans acquired for purchase and system updates. Annual payments for loans exceed $160,000.00. This year we are mandated by the State to install satellite monitoring equipment for a cost of $50,000. Your assessments are very important to the overall conduciveness of Beaver Park Water, Inc.

Pray for Rain!
