Penrose
experienced a Wonderful February Winter Snow that continued all month long. This
truly is something we have not had in many years. As the AG Met sensor located
in Penrose is still not working, I am not able to provide actual details on
precipitation, but several of the snow storms produced 4-6 inches of snow. As
always, this varies depending on what area of Penrose is being measured. We are
always grateful for any moisture regardless of rain or snow.
Needless to
say, the snow put a halt to the mowing on the lower ditch. The staff is taking
advantage of the better weather this week to continue mowing the middle
sections of our system along the lower ditch.
We are
looking forward to the upcoming Annual Shareholders meeting to be held on
Saturday the 29th at the Penrose Elementary School Gym at 1 pm. If
you are interested in running for the Board of Directors, there is one position
open as Gary Ratkovich has decided to retire after 30 years of service to
Beaver Park Water. The Board of Directors unselfishly provides the structure to
maintaining the administration of Beaver Park Water, Inc. They volunteer their
time to make certain all shareholders are equally represented regardless of the
number of shares they own. Protecting our water resource is the primary goal
and has been successfully administered for the past 43 years since incorporation.
Invoices for
2020 assessments will be sent out the week following the Annual Meeting. Assessments
pay for the operational costs of Beaver Park Water, Inc. Assessments are due
April 1, 2020. However, as a courtesy Beaver Park Water offers an option to pay
half of the assessments by April 1 and the balance is due by August 1st.
This option if chosen does come with an additional surcharge fee of $10.00. As
a reminder, all accounts not in good standing will not be eligible for
irrigation water. Ditch riders will not contact you for scheduling of
irrigation water. This is the shareholders responsibility to make sure payments
are made.
