July Update

The month of July has brought us extreme heat with mostly clear and dry skies. Temperatures have been in the upper nineties and we had to discontinue 1st irrigation due to the lack of water. The water in Beaver Creek never reached our diversion for almost 3 weeks. The week of the 16th it finally began to flow again. We are hopeful to fill the diversion enough to open it up and let the water into the upper canal. This will allow us to finish the shareholders that have yet to receive their 1st irrigation. We are providing water to Penrose Water District directly from Brush Hollow at this time.

Beaver Park Water, Inc. welcomes our newest ditch rider, Jonie Grisenti; she replaces Larry Feyerherm whose last day was June 30th.  Her contact number is 371-4313. She will responsible for the middle lines in our system. We are fortunate that she worked with Larry for 2 months prior to his leaving, which gives her a great advantage. We are happy she has joined our staff.

All assessments are due and payable by August 1, 2018. Accounts with balances after August 31st will have interest added monthly until accounts are paid in full.

Those shareholders whose accounts that have went unpaid for 2 years are in jeopardy of their shares going through the auction process at the Shareholders annual meeting in February. It is highly recommended that arrangements for payments be made at this time and not wait until January.

The Board of Directors are aware that some shareholders live on fixed incomes or have unexpected life events happen that cause these delinquencies to occur. We encourage monthly payment plans to assist with lowering the balance, or monthly payment plans can provide a way to pay your annual assessments prior to the annual due date of April 1st.  All payments made in advance go into a credit status until invoices are processed for April 1st.  If calculated and paid appropriately to the total due, by April 1st the total assessment can be paid. We have had several shareholders do this and it has worked out very well.  If you have any questions about this, please contact the office at 372-3664.

Those who have been wondering if the recent rain was beneficial to us, YES it was. Finally filled up our diversion and on Monday, July 30th we began with those shareholders who did not receive their 1st irrigation as it only is delivered from the upper canal. Hopefully the creek will continue to put water in the diversion and we can finish everyone.
