January has provided us with several snow storms, accumulations each storm delivering anywhere from 1-3 inches. The AG met sensor is not working properly therefore we don’t know the precipitation numbers, but we have received some well needed moisture.
The annual shareholder meeting notifications were sent out to each shareholder on the 20th. This year we are not able to have an in-person meeting. Our meeting will be available via zoom (audio/video conference). This is made possible as our local Fremont County Extension Agent/Director; Jeramy McNeely will be setting up and managing the process for us. Jeramy and his wife live in Penrose and are Shareholders with Beaver Park Water, Inc. With this change, all proxy’s must be returned to the office designating your choice of A. or B. and signed by 2/20/21. This will establish a quorum either via zoom attendance or by proxy committee selection. There are two Board Seats up for election, one for a vacated seat with a balance of one year left on the term and a three-year term seat. Jack Tyler has chosen to run for re-election on the 3-year term and Aaron Whitaker has chosen to run as a candidate for the 1-year term seat. Any shareholder wishing to add their name as a candidate, please notify the office at 372-3664 and your name will be added to the ballot. Those shareholders proxy’s selecting option B, will be mailed the vote ballot to be filled out and returned to Beaver Park Water by 3/9/21. Election results will be announced at the Board of Directors monthly meeting on 3/9/21.
Current Colorado Drought conditions reveal that 27.50% of that State is classified as Exceptional, 73.63% is Extreme, 91.06% is Severe, 100% is either classified as moderate or abnormally dry. Unless this changes with significant weather events providing us with precipitation increases before April, it may be a challenging irrigation season.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO RETURN ALL VOTING PROXY DOCUMENTSS TO Beaver Park Water office at 209 Broadway by 2/20/21, VERY , VERY IMPORTANT!!!
