April did not provide the showers to give us May Flowers as
anticipated, however distribution of irrigations began the week of April 20th.
Penrose’s AG Met sensor recorded a total of .17 inches of precipitation for the
month of April. Temperature Day time High’s reached into the low 80’s with a
surprising one night low of 8 degrees recorded on the 14th.
Forecasters are predicting that we may receive rain the first weekend of May.
As dry and windy as we have experienced, Penrose could use the moisture.
April continued with Beaver Park Water adhering to the
COVID-19 protocols that closed access to our office. With the new State
protocols Beaver Park Water has elected to continue to keep access to the
office closed with payment options of using our mail drop in the office door or
using US mail. Receipts requested will continued to be mailed out. Any other
business matters; we offer “curb” side delivery of required documents. Please
feel free to call the office at 372-3664 for any other business matters or
concerns. The office staff continues work normal business hours M-F 7:30 am –
4:00 pm with closure of the office from noon-1pm for lunch and errands.
As a reminder to all shareholders, assessment payments are
due April 1st of every year. If your account is not in good standing
when the ditch riders are scheduling water, you will not be contacted. It is
your responsibility to make sure payments are made, ditch riders’
responsibility is to distribute water, not to collect assessments. Also, as always
pump permits are required to be filled out annually and on file. If you are
pumping you must have a permit to do so. One more thing, all share leases are
to be submitted to the office by 4/1/2020. This year we extended the date to
4/15/20, however once we begin irrigations, no share leases are processed. All
of these processes have been normal practice for many years and even though
access to our office has been closed due to COVID-19 protocols, we have been
processing these documents for shareholders without any problems. The annual
shareholder packets sent to each shareholder yearly; includes explanations and
process information on all the documents referred to above, including dates
they are due.
We appreciate the shareholders that have embraced and understood
the need to follow the social distancing protocols knowing we are safeguarding
everyone’s health by doing so. We are looking forward to the day when we can
all return to normal business practices as usual. Thank you, stay healthy and
be safe.
