February was a very busy month for the staff as they continuously
routed the upper canal water around the work area where new concrete lining is
being laid. Routing the water to supply Penrose Water District with water to
their ponds has proven to be very beneficial and allows Brush Hollow Reservoir’s
levels to remain relatively the same. As March quickly approaches, many other
repairs still need to be addressed prior to irrigation beginning in April. March
will be very busy.
The Annual Shareholders meeting was a great success with
66% of the Shareholders represented either in person or through proxy. The 2018

of the 2.6 million currently in CD’s with Edward Jones. The Shareholders
additionally approved the Board of Directors move forward on the new proposed contract
with Penrose Water District for years 2021-2025. The shareholders also approved
to continue the $13.00 Brush Hollow Surcharge as part of the assessments for
capital improvements. There will be no change to the total assessments of
$78/share.
The Ballot item to accept changes to the proposed changes
to the Articles of Incorporation and By-laws was accepted with a vote of 2196
voting yes and 29 voting no.
