November updates
It was a long and
productive irrigation season. The ditch riders and superintendent are thankful
for a job change. As long as the weather cooperates, cleaning and repairs on
the system will continue throughout the winter. The work only requires two
ditch riders during the winter therefore Larry Degenhart is on layoff status
until needed in the spring. This also will give the new ditch riders an
opportunity to learn more about the entire system and how it functions.
The weather in
November followed true to form in the Colorado spirit, providing high
temperatures in the 70’s with a low -10. Moisture only measured .13 of an inch
for the month. This information was provided by the AG Met sensor located in
Penrose.
The date for the
shareholders annual meeting is set for February 28th at 1:00 pm in
the Penrose Elementary School Gymnasium. Please mark this on your
calendars. Not only will you be voting
for a Board Member retention or replacement. Additionally you will be voting on
BPW sharing your Name, address, phone number and number of shares owned in
efforts to purchase project water from a water conservancy district that is
Federally Regulated. Please look for your packet to arrive late January or
early February explaining everything in detail. As a shareholder it is your
responsibility to represent yourself or designate at proxy.
