September update

September was a busy month for the ditch riders as they are in the process of completing third irrigations and on some lines starting fourths. Irrigation season ends November 15th and we are not in priority to store water. The creek is currently running at 19 cfs and Brush Hollow Reservoir is at 75.67 acre feet. Irrigations should not reduce the lake level as we are using what is being put in.

We received very little in precipitation this month; only .16 of an inch was recorded on the AG met sensor in Penrose.

Since we have made several staff changes, the following is a list of staff names and contact numbers.

Tommy Lilze – Superintendent 371-4311

Larry Degenhart – Ditch Rider – 371-4312 (West Side)

Jeremy Ervin – Ditch Rider – 371-4310 (East Side)

Ronny Beldin – Ditch Rider – 371-4313 (Middle)

Dawn Daniels – Office Administrator – 372-3664

Please note that we have had issues with not having current phone numbers on file. If you have had recent changes or not sure what numbers are on file, please contact the office. Without current contact numbers, we are unable to reach you to schedule water.

We are anxious for next weekend. Penrose celebrates a great apple harvest. Enjoy!
