Summer temperatures are here! The final week of June
provided us with temperatures in the upper 90’s. We were fortunate to receive
.78 inch of moisture during the month, per the AG met sensor in Penrose.
Irrigations are in full swing with most shareholders beginning the second round
of irrigations.
Beaver Park Water, Inc. welcomes our new Ditch Rider; Jeremy Ervin. Jeremy will be the new
ditch rider for lines previously managed by Don Hampton. Jeremy’s first day of
employment is Monday, June 30, 2014. Jeremy will be using the same phone number
as Don. Jeremy can be contacted at 371-4310. The training process of our system
can be a little overwhelming so please be patient. Jeremy will have continuous
support from Tom Sanders, Tom Lilze, and Larry Degenhart. A BIG Thank you to
the Beaver Park Water staff for their combined effort in supporting those irrigation
lines prior to Jeremy coming on board. Most shareholders received water with
little interruption in scheduling.
The 8 mile fire in Phantom Canyon received assistance from
Beaver Park Water by allowing helicopters to use Brush Hollow Reservoir as a
dipping site. The Bureau of Land Management contracted with Beaver Park Water,
Inc. to provide water in fighting the active fire. Helicopters with dip buckets
could be seen making multiple runs beginning 6/27/204. Beaver Park Water will
be compensated for water used in the firefighting efforts.
Reminder to shareholders with assessment balances. Accounts
must be paid by August 1st to continue to receive irrigation water.
A ten dollar fee for paying assessments in two parts will be included in the
balance owed.
On a personal note, John and I would like to thank the Board of Directors
and the staff of Beaver Park Water for their kindness and support as I
experienced the loss of my Daughter; Laramie Sue Hayden. Thank You!
