5.05.2014

2014 scheduled irrigations began on the 15th. Not without some tumble weed problems causing backups and water spilling over boxes. The Beaver Park Water staff has worked many hours trying to locate the plugs and eliminate them in the system. Overall the irrigations are going well. Please note that the ditch riders are responsible for scheduling irrigations. They can be contacted as follows:

Tom Sanders –       Superintendent 371-4313 overall and city lines

Tommy Lilze –         Ditch Rider        371-4311 primarily middle lines

Donny Hampton –  Ditch Rider        371-4310 primarily east lines

Larry Degenhart –  Ditch Rider        371-4312 primarily west lines

Haven’t been contacted by the ditch rider for water scheduling? Make sure the following is not the reason:

  • Have you paid your assessments?
  • Have you changed your contact numbers?

Please contact the office at 372-3664 if you have questions concerning your account information.

Spring weather started and stopped and started and stopped with a mixture of rain and snow coming to the Penrose area. Temperatures have ranged from a high of 80 to a low of 18 degrees. Moisture received per the AGMET sensor recorded a half inch of moisture for the month of April. We are thankful for any moisture and continue to pray for rain. The fields that have been planted are looking very green, trees have blossomed out and the tractors working the fields remind us that spring time here in Penrose is a beautiful site to see.

Reminder to all of those shareholders that paid half of their assessments, the balance plus a $10 surcharge fee will be due by August 1, 2014. This will be especially important as water delivery will be delayed to those who have outstanding balances. Invoices will be sent out in May.
