Since the last update, irrigation did begin April 16th. At that time, all measurement indicators from Brush Hollow and the Diversion were positive and we expected to maintain irrigation for at least 30 days. Due to record low snow pack percentages, well below average precipitation and above average temperatures took a toll on the water supply. Irrigation's were delivered to approximately 69% of shareholders; when it became necessary to shut off the Brush Hollow delivery on May 28th, as measurement fell below 65ft. (water designated for Penrose Water District). Unfortunately, the month of June did not provide any positive changes in water availability. With the month of June's triple digit temperatures, domestic water usage increased 30%. CURRENTLY THE ONLY WATER BEING RELEASED IS FOR DOMESTIC USE. Beaver Park Water and Penrose Water District are making combined efforts to monitor the water supply. Forecasts indicate that July should provide us with much needed precipitation. Pray for RAIN!
