January was a mix of snow (not much), fall temperatures, and
bitter cold. With highs in the upper sixties and lows of negative eight as
reported by the AG Met sensor in Penrose. The snow did not equal to any
reported precipitation for the month. We are hoping winter doesn’t let us down
as we really could use a lot of moisture.
Please be prepared for our Annual Shareholders meeting to be
held February 28th at the Penrose Elementary School at 1:00 pm. All
shareholders must either attend or sign a Proxy to the proxy committee or
another shareholder to have your shares represented. This is very important as
we must establish a Quarum to have a meeting. A Quarum consists of 1766 shares
represented either in person or proxy signed to another shareholder or proxy
committee. This year we have three Board of Director positions to vote on. One
of the positions is a vacant position, one is a two- year term as the interim
position must be voted on and currently held by Steve Parr and the third
position is currently held by Bart Adams as his term is up, however he is
running to maintain the Board position for another 3 years. If you should be
interested in any of these board positions, please attend the meeting and have
another shareholder nominate you for any of the positions above.
